I had no idea The Little Mermaid would be as good as it was. It really was the perfect first Broadway Show for Kess to experience. Her backstage experience was SO great! We got to stand on the stage and look out at the theatre first, then Michelle took us around and showed us all of the costumes - trap doors - make-up - and special stage props (she told us King Triton's trident cost more than her car) - and the best part for Kess was her chance to wear the Starfish headpiece. We were able to see friends and eat good New York pizza. We even fit in a visit to Toys R Us in Time Square. It's a short but sweet trip to the Big Apple.
